Note:  2nd and 3rd grade students go to Reading Club after school until 2:30.

Chess Club

Division 1: Beginners
For those who have never played chess and do not know the rules, how the pieces move, etc. Limited to 15 players.

Division 2: Returning Players
For those who have never played chess and do not know the rules, how the pieces move, etc. Limited to 15 players.

Meeting Dates:  Every Tuesday starting Oct. 9
Time: 3:05 pm - 4:00 pm
Place: Mrs. Calicott's Room
Cost: $15 per student

Garden Club

Guest speakers will include SchoolGardens of Lane County, who will also lead a hands-on class, representatives from local nurseries and other community leaders who are avid gardeners.

Meeting Dates:  Every Thursday starting Oct. 25
Time: 3:10 pm - 4:30 pm
Cost: $25 first student; $10 each additional sibling
Snacks: Will be provided

International Club - Grades 1st through 8th

Originally formed to support and enhance the Spanish language program at O'Hara, the International club has expanded to include some of the other wonterful cultures represented at the school. Club activities include arts and crafts, foods (sampling and making), and learning about languages and music from many different lands.

Meeting Dates:  Every other Tuesday starting Oct. 16
Time: 3:10 pm - 4:30 pm

Cost: $25 first student; $5 each additional sibling
