FOUNDATION BOARD

 
Fr. Ron Nelson

Fr. Ron has served on the Foundation Board for a number of years during his 11 year tenure as the School Pastor for O'Hara Catholic School. Fr. Ron is the Pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church and was ordained a priest in 2007. He is originally from the Portland area.

Kelly Bosch - President

Kelly joined the Foundation Board in May of 2019 and is the current President.  She and her husband, Jason, have two sons; Dylan is a 2022 O'Hara graduate, and Jaxon currently attends O'Hara. Kelly is the Chief Financial Officer for the University of Oregon Foundation. Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant and spent over 16 years as an auditor and consultant.

Michelle Gall - Past President

Michelle joined the Foundation Board in the spring of 2018 and is a Past President.  She and her husband, Ted Helvoigt, have three daughters; Layne currently attends O’Hara, Reeve is a 2019 O'Hara graduate and attends Marist, and Dale is a 2013 O'Hara graduate and a 2017 Marist graduate.  Michelle is a CPA and partner at Besemann Valentine LLP.  Michelle has been in public accounting since 2003. Prior becoming an accountant, she worked as an economist. 

Kyle Hudson - VIce president

Kyle joined the Foundation Board in the summer of 2015 and is the current Vice President. Kyle and his wife, Kate, have three children; Jack is a 2018 O'Hara graduate and a 2022 Marist graduate; Nick is a 2021 O'Hara graduate and current Marist student; Lexi is a current O'Hara student.  Kyle and Kate have been very active in the O’Hara community by helping out with the Foundation’s annual appeal and the school’s annual auction.  Kyle serves as President of a local insurance firm. 

John Murphy Jr. - Secretary

John joined the Foundation Board in the summer of 2015 and serves as the current Foundation Secretary. John and his wife, Andrea, have four children; Taylor is a 2022 O'Hara graduate and a current Marist student; Tripp, Matthew and Dylan all currently attend O'Hara. John is an O’Hara alum and a second-generation Board member.  John Sr. was a Board member in the 1980s & 1990s when John Jr. and his five sisters attended O’Hara.  John is a Eugene native and works in the timber industry.

Carrie Hellwig Christopher - At large member

Carrie joined the Foundation Board in May 2019.  Carrie and her husband Jamie have one son, Cameron, who currently attends O’Hara.  Carrie is a partner at Hershner Hunter LLP where she practices business, intellectual property, and technology law. Carrie and Jamie moved to Eugene from Southern California in 2008 and are very active in the community. They both serve on multiple non-profit boards and donate time volunteering for O’Hara.

RYAN DWYER - At large member

Ryan joined the Foundation Board in May 2022. Ryan and his wife, Jessica, have three kids; Olivia, Connor & Liam who all attend O'Hara. Ryan is an O'Hara alum and he is currently a Vice President & Financial Advisor at RBC Wealth Management. He is eager to contribute his expertise to his alma mater as he returns to O'Hara as a parent. 

SAMANTHA RASCHIO - AT LARGE MEMBER

After graduating from the University of Oregon, Samantha started her career as an auditor in public accounting and is currently the Director of Corporate Accounting at Roseburg Forest Products.  Samantha and her husband, Jeff, have three children: Benji and George, who attend O'Hara, and Maren who will be there soon! They have been very happy with their decision to enroll at O'Hara, and they are eager to be more involved in the O'Hara Community. 

MEGAN BREWER - AT LARGE MEMBER

Megan joined the Foundation board in 2023 to assist with branding and communications. She and her husband, John, have two sons: Beckham and Boston, who both currently attend O'Hara. Megan is also the Communications Director for O'Hara Catholic School. She looks forward to this new role as a Board member and furthering her impact on the O'Hara community.
