O'Hara will be reinstating our Family Involvement Program (FIP) hours for the school year. This program requires that each family complete 36 hours of volunteer activity at O'Hara. Each incomplete hour will be charged a fee at the end of the school year. If you have questions about FIP hours please email Barb Whitford in the front office.
In order to complete FIP hours each volunteer needs to have completed our volunteer requirements. We are requesting that parents complete their background check and this year’s online requirement(s) now so they are cleared to volunteer before the school year begins. You must have completed the volunteer requirements in order to volunteer.
ARCHDIOCESAN CHILD PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS
The Archdiocese assigns child protection requirements to ensure that all volunteers and staff are trained and cleared to work in schools, and that our schools and churches remain safe for our kids. You must complete all requirements before you will be permitted to volunteer.
We are requesting that parents complete the requirement(s) now so they are cleared to volunteer before the school year begins. You must complete the requirements before you will be cleared to volunteer for field trips, working in the classroom, school store, cafeteria, or other school functions.
INFORMATION FOR RETURNING FAMILIES
This year's online course requirement is Keeping Your School Safe. You will need to complete this course in order to volunteer in the school or chaperone field trips. You will be notified if you need to renew your background check. Please complete the requirement by Friday, August 30.
