Since 2015, O’Hara Catholic School has invested over $10 million of donor-driven funds in deferred maintenance, ensuring our facilities remain strong for future generations.
Launched in 2019, our Capital Campaign has been a long-term effort to preserve and modernize our 70+ year-old building, enhance student safety, and create a 21st-century learning environment while maintaining a deep sense of pride and tradition in our school.
Our 2019 campaign assessment prioritized addressing deferred maintenance, leading to a structured, multi-tiered plan. The Tier 1 projects focus on essential maintenance and structural improvements to extend the life of our building by another 50+ years. Thanks to our community's dedication, we are now in the final stage of Tier 1 work, which will mark the completion of all deferred maintenance projects.
With Tier 1 nearing completion, we are working to secure the final funding needed to successfully complete this phase, allowing us to look ahead to exciting new additions for our school.

In the summer of 2025, we planned to finish the remainder of our planned Tier 1 projects:
- East wing siding replacement, complete building exterior paint & replacement of the front awning
All dollars necessary for this project were allocated using our reserved funds.
However, during the planning process, our trusted architect and contractor identified additional structural issues that require urgent attention around our cafeteria, inside and out. These necessary updates include serious structural reinforcements, new flooring, and fresh paint to ensure the space remains functional and safe for our students and staff. Given the scope of these new findings, it has become clear both projects must be completed during the summer of 2025. While this unexpected need has accelerated our timeline, addressing these projects in a single phase will help minimize overall costs and prevent disruptions to the school year.
