Every year O’Hara graduates, not only 8th grade students, but their families who have been with us for decades. As each generation passes through, each family leaves a permanent imprint on the hearts of the teachers, staff and students they leave behind. The installment of the Living Legacy Rosary Garden allows those graduating families the opportunity to also leave behind a brighter future for a fellow student.
With the purchase of a legacy brick in our rosary garden, graduating families are permanently engraved within the footprint of our school, and the funds raised from the purchase of their brick seed the scholarships of the next generation of O’Hara graduates. As one student goes forth to serve, another enters to learn, and the beautiful synergy of our O’Hara community is commemorated.
Offering O’Hara’s students a space to grow their faith while also seeding scholarship investments for future students felt like the perfect mission for the Open Door Foundation. The O.D.F. is excited to support the addition of the Living Legacy Rosary Garden and continue their mission of making a faith-based education at O’Hara Catholic School accessible to all families.
With the installation of the Living Legacy Rosary Garden in our front flagpole area, alumni families will be able to contribute at three different levels:
GENERATIONAL BRICK ELIGIBILITY
Only families who have fully graduated a generation from O’Hara will be eligible to purchase a brick. For example - if you have a graduating 8th grader this year, but you still have a 5th grader in line for graduation, you cannot purchase their generational brick until all students within your family from their generation have graduated and can be engraved on the same brick. We highly encourage alumni from St. Francis, St. Mary & O’Hara to purchase their own generational alumni brick.

- $1,000 (12"x12" hexagon at landing or square in cross or future pathway)
